Choosing the right gearbox or clutch oil for your Puch
Gearbox and clutch oil lubricates internal transmission components and, depending on the engine design, may also work together with the clutch system. The correct lubricant is determined by the engine and transmission type, not simply by the Puch name on the tank.
ATF clutch oil
ATF products can be used in suitable automatic clutch and transmission applications where this type of lubricant is specified.
Manual gearbox oil
Manual transmission engines can require a dedicated gearbox lubricant rather than ATF.
Oil changes
Fresh oil helps maintain lubrication inside the gearbox and clutch area during regular servicing.

ATF and manual gearbox oil are not automatically interchangeable. Puch engines were produced with different clutch and transmission designs, so the correct lubricant depends on the exact engine fitted to the moped.
Before ordering, identify your engine and check which lubricant it requires. This is especially important when working with a restored, modified or engine swapped moped where the engine may not match the original frame model.
Gearbox oil is not 2-stroke mixture oil
The oil inside the gearbox or clutch area performs a different job from the 2-stroke oil mixed with fuel or supplied through an oil injection system. Keep these lubrication systems separate and use the correct product for each application.
