With the AKOA High-Performance 74cc cylinder kit with a 47 mm bore, the bar is raised considerably within the 74cc class. Its robust design, smart port layout, AM6 reed valve intake and perfectly fitting cylinder head make this cylinder ideal for serious tuning.

The cylinder has been extensively tested in the Mofa Cup and on the dyno. In unmodified form, it already achieved approximately 16 hp with a modified engine case. In addition, the cylinder offers plenty of further potential for tuners looking to get the maximum performance from their setup.

The cylinder features four transfer ports, two boost ports and a large two-piece exhaust port. The spacious reed valve intake is suitable for an AM6 reed valve, providing plenty of possibilities for different reed blocks and intake setups.

A great deal of attention has also been paid to cooling and sealing. The extra-large cooling fins ensure efficient heat dissipation, while the cylinder head locates directly inside the cylinder bore. This ensures correct positioning of the cylinder head and also provides additional sealing through a labyrinth effect.

The included piston features a MoS2 coating to reduce friction and wear. Three different base gasket thicknesses are included, allowing the squish clearance to be accurately adjusted to suit the desired setup.

Before mounting

• Before installation, the original engine case must be bored out to Ø52.40 mm. Depending on the original engine case used, one of the transfer ports may not be fully utilized.
• We always advise to check and clean the cylinder before installation and to finish the ports in the cylinder with a 1000 grit sandpaper. This way the edges are no longer too sharp because of the Nicasil coating, this will considerably extend the life of the cylinder / piston.
