Tunturi Sport is a moped manufactured by Tunturipyörä Oy between 1960 and 1976, and launched on the market in 1961 .
Initially, the Sport used the same frame as the so-called Pappa-Tunturi . The Tunturi Sport remained in its basic features until 1964, but the following year it received a new frame, tank (white in 1965, chromed in 1966–1970), but the engine was still a 3-speed Puch .
In 1970, after the pedal force was removed, the Sport was replaced by foot pegs and a so-called "kickstart". The engine was changed to a 4-speed in the last model year, the 1976 Sport. The engine was quite similar to the successor model in the Tunturi Super Sport , except for the mounting brackets and the cylinder . In the last two models, the sides of the tank no longer had leather padding.
The Tunturi Sport was sold as a fan-cooled (1961–1976) and a hard-chrome cylinder (1970–1976). 4-speed fan-cooled Tunturi Sports are quite rare. The Tunturi Sport was replaced by the cradle-frame Tunturi Super Sport.
